Sounds great! Thanks Jerry, and Ed, for doing all this. I think it's an
important step for GNHLUG, not just because we're "a-fish-al" now, but because
this will let us do things that were beyond the scope of what we could before.
Did we resolve the question of who was going to keep track of all the
donated wealth that will now doubtless be pouring into the organization? ;-)
I'm usually one for just letting things fall where they may, but when money is
involved, that usually doesn't work.
On the same note, if/when we manage to actually save up some money, such
that GNHLUG has a fund, we should probably set up some sort of rules for what
it can and cannot be used for, or how that gets decided. I don't really have
a problem with just saying "Let the Chairman decide", as I trust you to Do The
Right Thing and all, but single points of control just bother me on general
principles.
Again, thanks for all your efforts in this and other matters, Jerry. Being
Chairman of a LUG is, I suspect, rather a thankless job. Rest assured, you
are very appreciated.
