On the other hand, I downloaded the latest boot images from RH,
& see a fixed 20 minute delay for about every package.
A 16K package takes about 21 minutes, and a 6MB package takes
26 minutes. This is an FTP install on a 486/66, 32MB. I have tcpdump
running on the FTP server, a Linux box on the same 10baseT hub.
It shows a series of quick requests to the FTP server, followed by no 
activity until the next rpm is requested. Thus, it doesn't seem to be
related to net delays. I have never seen this before, & I have installed on 
many 486s, & even 386s. Any ideas?
