Actually, for whatever reason this is the result when you install RH6.2
and "Gnome Workstation". I have two such installations that do exactly
this out of the box. Fire up a terminal, use "vi", quit, and there's
a "c" next to your shell prompt.
(Speaking of Gnome I *still* haven't figured out how to really get it
to remember where I put terminal windows & stuff like that. Neither
of the "save settings" in the logout dialog nor the "remember state"
dropdown in individual windows do the trick. Plus either it or
Enlightenment leak memory still...)
