yep, that's a help.
As I recall, the token string ending in "[c" is one of the ANSI commands
that reset a dumb terminal. I'm not sure I recall the exact syntax and
don't have the old VT100 books here to reference, but I think it's
something like <esc>[c
So the suggestions of a misconfigured TERM setting seem most likely,
although it might also be a bug in somebody's terminal emulator code, or
something else related to that handling (termcap?).
