Hmm... after some of the horror stories here, I have to wonder why I've
had such good service (not counting the unreasonably long phone wait)...
Maybe it's cuz I usually identify myself as a LanCity employee... maybe
that would work for you guys too. :)
BTW, don't let those guys fool ya. The LanCity LCP is the best one out
there. We tested any number of replacements (they were becoming too
expensive to manufacture to remain competitive or some such other crap)
and they all sucked. Arris (the successor to LanCity) no longer makes the
LCP. So you'll have to suffer with crappy Zeniths or Toshibas. Oh well.
On another note, Nortel sold their share of Arris, which consisted of what
used to be LanCity, to Antec (Arris Interactive's parent Co). The Andover
facility is closing, so there will soon be nothing left of LanCity, and we
will all be switching to DSL because no one else can make a CM that
works... :( Even Arris' own DOCSIS modems aren't as good, so I hear.
