Okay, this may be a stupid question but... here goes anyway.

I bought one of the LanCity modems for use with M1. I figured I
wouldn't
be moving for a few years, why not save the $10 a month... The only
concern I have had is a) the modem dies and I'm SOL. b) M1 increases
the speed to the modem (yeah right!) and I'll be left in the dust.

I'm not to familiar with the spec the cablemodems follow. My question
is, can the LanCity modems handle a larger pipe? Is there the ability
to flash an upgrade to the device?

Unfortunately, I believe this may not be the case. Especially when the
modem has been discontinued. Any insight is appreciated.
