check the message archive last year...i believe that we discussed this
some.

from my viewpoint (which many ppl dislike) this is a HORRIBLE turn to ne
linux movement.

at USAExpress.net i get about one call a week from a clueless person.

"i hate linux!!! it totally trashed all my windows files. and then once i
got it installed i couldn't use my USB printer. don't buy linux...its
horrible!"

and you try to explain what the error existes between keyboard and chair
(in a nice way) and they won't listen. they tell thier firends this and
so it goes on.

they (linux manf) should at least put in a directory of LUGS or something
that is a realy help for a newbie.

when i started this business i used to bug a fellow admin at another
ISP with a thousand and two apache, sendmail and general linux questions.
I didn't call redhat (I don't run redhack i run debian, so i have nobody
to call...but you get the point) and sit on the phone with them for 2
hours trying to get sendmail to allow my users to send mail.

Linux isn't regular software...its for people who have a SEMI clue what
thier doing. not for my grandmother :-)
