  While Miguel does mention that as a possibility, I suspect Microsoft will
ensure their own implementation of .NET is not portable.  Again, that is
their MO.  But Miguel looks to be more interested in what .NET can do to
help GNOME.  He likes the features it has.  I don't really understand why he
likes SOAP better than, say, CORBA, but again, he's the one doing the
coding, so that's his call.

  Basically, he seems to be borrowing ideas from Microsoft.  Which, I
suppose, is fine, as long as, again, they are careful not to violate any
intellectual property issues.

  We live in interesting times.  :-)
