  Linux is GPL, but Linux is just the kernel.  Your average distribution
includes quite a mix of GPL, LGPL, BSDL, Artistic, MPL, public domain, and
other licenses.  YaST, in particular, is not Free Software or Open Source.  
(Or so I am told -- again, I'm still trying to figure out the exact status.)
