>SuSE places the ISOs online after the release has been out for a month.
I don't think this is true, anyway. I have gone round with this as I was trying to find an iso for one of their PPC distros a year ago. AFAIK the only iso's they provide are for 'less supported' hardware like Sparc, Alpha. Everybody else has to buy the CDs or install via ftp some months after the initial release when they finally put it on the ftp site. They're pretty tight about it all. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places? And I had hoped they would at least provide an upgrade path for me; I have paid full price for 7.1 and 7.3 but it looks like when 8.0 becomes available for PPC they'll probably want darn close to $100. Too rich for my blood. I'm rather disappointed because as a newbie I rely more heavily on a distro since I'm not up to speed for the roll your own approach. I'm sure there are piecemeal updates for PPC I could grab from their site, but that gets confusing real fast without more experienced assistance ;0) Anyway, please correct me if you actually find one of these isos for an intel/pentium arch... I would like to find a PC to install 7.3 on that I can experiment freely with and not care if I thrash everything.
