The one thing worse than code that doesn't compile is a binary that
doesn't run. Unfortunately, what's in cvs sometimes doesn't compile, or
run ... so cvs is dangerous unless you are an active developer.
The point of the 1.2.x and 1.4.x .tar.gz is that they compile & should
run. I'm hoping to release a 1.2.4 real soon now which will probably be
the last of the motif series, and at the same time a 1.4.0 which should be
the first of gnome series.
Jeremy, if you want to get an early start on the 1.2.4 motif rpm, it
should be identical to the 1.2 tree in cvs.
However, before doing the gnome version, I know there are a few more
patches wiating in my reader that I want to apply before saying '1.4 is
ready'.
