Yes, the "Action" field serves this purpose.
And I agree that the list needs to remain short (for any given installation)
What I am suggesting is that there be a mechanism so that the user can
not only add to the list, but provide a custom display for that new "Action".
In particular, I would like to be able to automatically generate the various
entries that make up a transaction.
Perhaps I would like to have a transaction that recorded a capital gains sale
and, automatically included je's to fund an income tax sinking fund.
Think of it more as a MACRO rather than say a memorized transaction.
I would "install" it and could then use it in many accounts to build and
display my transactions.
