Yes, the bug report is only for 3.x, but the problem is as likely to be with Cairo than with Gtk itself and that’s common to both. A better diagnostic is to get some stack traces, but that can be challenging on Windows. (The best is profiling, but there aren’t usable tools for that on Windows in the build environment that GnuCash uses.)
