Yes, quite so. But I have compartmented mind, and the original question was just about GnuCash, and I was thinking of the minimal changes to be made.
I'm also influenced by my GnuCash setup, in which I use it on Mac, Windows, and Linux, so I've had to re-create settings and reports instead of copying them.
