Jerry,

Several people so far have advised you to run an "Account Report".

NO ONE has suggested a "Transaction Report". (at least not for your present purpose)

The "toolbar" is under the menubar and has icons. Both are common User Interface terms that are many decades old and nearly ubiquitous.

I'll add the recommendation as a new user to have the Help Manual open while learning GnuCash as it describes the various screens and menus and can help you become familiar with the terminology used. People here on the list will attempt to replicate that terminology with that fact in mind so there is less confusion. (It also wouldn't hurt to give the Tutorial & Concepts Guide a read through) Finally, there are some aged, but still useful YouTube videos on using GnuCash that might help.

Regards,
Adrien

Hooping you have followed the whole thread.  Yes my setup matches yours. Yes, I was never able to get an actual report.  When I go to Reports/ Transaction Report (a blank screen) and then CTRL-P, I get the screen. I need you to define "toolbar".  Do you mean the Tools menu choice?  I have never seen what I know to be a toolbar or have I ever seen a print button in this version of GC.
