Dear Victor, Unfortunately Professor Rodrigues died in 2014. I sent his obituary because it describes his remarkable career. Another distinguished Goan who was a respected Professor at Georgetown University was Joaquim de Sequeira Coutinho. He was Professor of Portuguese, had visited Goa, and I had the pleasure of meeting him in the US. Here is his bio. The bio incorrectly says he was of Portuguese descent. Many Goans distinguished themselves as Professors of Portuguese and experts in Portuguese literature outside Portugal. Vicente de Bragança Cunha was one of them. Best regards, John M. de Figueiredo https://repository.library.georgetown.edu/handle/10822/554706
