RESPONSE :The study is not conducted by MIT, but a talk
given at MIT by Paul A. Spiers, whose credentials are below. Here is UPI
Investigative Report 1987 on Aspartame which was “Buried since 1987!”           
             

This report also cites who Paul A. Spiers
is, the visiting scientist whose report at MIT Santosh quotes. It gives full
details how ‘Searle’ and scientists manipulated research studies and wining and
dining scientific critics. It will open up a whole can of worms of what
scientists are, and how manipulations are done, worse than Goan politics.

As for me, my goal of cautioning Goanetters
has been achieved. Goa netters now are aware :                                  
  

1-    That there is no smoke without fire, that there is certainly
something wrong with Aspartame.                        

2-    That Aspartame is a derivative of genetically modified E.Coli and
not chemically synthesised as stated by Santosh.            

3-    That Aspartame is composed of three chemicals and not two as per
Santosh’s knowledge.                                    

4-    That Aspartame is not a necessity in our lives, but if someone wants
to risk his health or that of his children, it is each one’s choice.            
                                    

We clinical doctors can only give advice.
Whether to heed it or not, is up to each one. We advise as we know we are
dealing with human life and not experimenting on animals. We can in no way try
experiments on humans, which Santosh does not understand. I do not feel there
is a necessity for any more explanations.
