But the controversy still continues... Today there is no consensus among the general population. The Christian Church (and Hindu ones too) have 'produced' abusive priests and sadhus. The controversy is going on about these chaps and their abuse of young children (altar boys) and females (devadasis). But most people, who know about it, will avoid it. Some may not know it. Since it is controversial, some individuals think that these priests and sadhus should be avoided, and people should be advised not to take their children near these abusers. jc
