Pamela,

That's a very nice lightweight solution, only that the polygons are a
bit rough.
The entire Upper Michigan peninsula, plus a chunk of Minnesota seem to
have gone to Canada. ;-)

At such a low zoom level as your example is showing, you could easily
cut 4 decimals from each lat and lng, (less than 1 mile), and add a
few more points instead.
