IE8 is broken. It consistently gets coordinates wrong unless it's set to "compatibility mode" either by users or by website code. Many website builders don't see why they should alter their site to get a broken browser to work. [I can't speak for Mike: it may be that he hasn't got round to it yet; or perhaps he agrees] Search Google for "IE8 compatibility mode" to see how to set it -- I don't use it, so I can't tell you -- or use a browser which isn't broken.
