Hi Senad, It sounds like you're confusing the Google In Your Language (GIYL) program a bit with how we build Google Translate. GIYL allows people to submit translations of the user-interface (UI) strings for various user properties. Like getting translations for,
"Groups" "Post" "Discard" "Recent searches" "Click on a group's start icon to add it to your favorites" These strings are from this Groups UI. GIYL helps get Google products available with a UI in those languages. Unfortunately the status of a language in GIYL has little to no affect on the status of a language being supported by Google Translate. Launching a new language in Google Translate is significantly more difficult than just getting a few thousand user-interface strings translated. For us to get a language to sufficient quality to launch on Google Translate, we typically need millions, and sometimes billions, of parallel, translated words. Hopefully that clears up some of the confusion around GIYL. Regarding some of your other feedback: - The indicated % are wrong. As you explained, they can change according to the amount of data you put to be translated. But it cannot be 0% anyway when something is translated. Furthermore, if you have a look at the Bosnian language for example, it has been months that I read "0% completed" while all is translated (according to Google itself) when I click on it. Only two sections are not (see below). - Size limits for glossaries and TMs are very limited. I can provide with dozens of thousands of elements but it is not technically possible within the system as it is. Setting a limit at 1MB (!!!) is fully in contradiction with what you state in your message. - Supported formats are very restrictive. Limiting all uploads to .csv files is strange, the least to say. Converting, .php, .csv, etc files is easy for developers or more generally individuals with computer knowledge, but not that simple for most translators. I'm a little confused by your first point about incorrect %'s. Are you talking about GIYL? As for the other two points, I'll pass your feedback to the Google Translator Toolkit team.
