I don't know. As Kyle has mentioned, AOL once transitioned Mozilla to
community ownership, and later Mozilla transitioned SeaMonkey and later
Thunderbird to community ownership. All of those projects are still
alive and doing quite decently, including doing regular release, etc.
I actually wonder which project we had that would have been actually
killed off with that kind of wording, as I don't remember any.
