I am a long-time user of firefox and an admirer of both the quality of the product and your open-source operation.
I am also a strong supporter of gay rights including the right to marriage. I was dismayed and outraged to read of the forced resignation of Brendan Eich, which was apparently forced out based solely on his private beliefs, and did not reflect any discriminatory actions by him in the workplace. For at least the last 60 years Americans have waged sustained campaigns to end discrimination in the workplace and the public square, with considerable but imperfect success. Your action against Mr Eich is diametrically opposed to this effort. You should be as ashamed to punish Mr Eich for views you disagree with as you would be to punish or discriminate against someone for being gay, black or a woman. I hope that you reconsider and end your discriminatory practices.
