My question to you: What efforts are being made to right the wrong?

Besides that:
"it does not appear that anyone's free speech rights were violated"
I couldn't begin to understand how that would apply to Eich, or by extension to anybody who is not 100% in line with whatever gays want (which will also eventually include hiring quotas, as in Ascend Project's next step).

"We knew about his donation 2 years ago"
Yes, I grant that point to you unreservedly. However, I'd simply say that Mozilla did not assent to Eich's purging until the radical gays demanded it. Then Mozilla did assent.

If Mozilla did not assent, they would have hired armed security to protect their CEO and his family. They would have made "we will not be intimidated into allowing the course of our community to be influenced by thugs" statements. Other internet companies would have joined in denouncing the threats. (Such threats were also reported to have been received by anybody who refused to bake a gay wedding cake, etc. This did not happen in a vacuum.)

Instead, here is what happened: the much admired CEO received vilification, pressure and threats. Mozilla said, "Good-bye, Brendan."

Worse yet, the bigotry will be repeated with the approaching reality that his successor will be certified as 100% by the radical gays.

Well, what is the basis of agreement? It seems like a lot of people giving us a hard time are deciding the outcome that is "just" and then finding reasoning to back up their decision. We didn't force him out, we are not happy that he's gone, we are annoyed that this was caused by external pressure, it does not appear that anyone's free speech rights were violated, but the opposite, that this happened because many people exercised their rights to free speech. That's only one piece of the puzzle though, however it's the piece of the puzzle you highlighted.
We didn't force him out. We didn't force him out because of his views. We knew about his donation 2 years ago.

That's just an article that agrees with Eich being purged.
