Ian I switched from Mimscript to Medtech32 in a previous practice. We had no choice on the need to switch but resisted the push to MD from HCN. The switch went pretty painlessly although it took time to familiarise with the very different interface. The lack of ads was a blessed relief. My 2 cents: - the new software has to be worth switching to - the old data has to be readily accessible (even if it means keeping a safe copy of the old database and software with discs somewhere on your network) - don't obsess over the molecular transfer of information, a little manual data entry/cleaning helps the record, and anyway different doctors have different standards of (electronic) record keeping even in the old package - as long as the interface works everyone can familiarise themselves with it within a week or two Regards Jim
