Analogue telephone adapter, about $100 which is the interface between a
network (plugs into any network router etc) and voip lines.  Mine have 2
lines each and you can have a separate provider on each line.    

At the surgery for example all you have to do is plug one anywhere into the
network and attach any spare phones and you can start dialing anywhere for
10c.    We use them to make all long distance appointment calls etc etc.

Tony, what's an ATA?

I'm about to put a PABX in and want to do this, initially using
Internode 512/512.
