IMHO the broad brush requirements for a FOSS linux australian medical
suite would be for records (Gnumed)
Front Desk/appointments (adapt something?)
Financial (")
Prescribing
This is a big project - maybe too big to see tangible results
How could it be further broken into digestible chunks?

OK. Liz, what sort of projects do you have in mind

Pretty simple ( but BIG)
We have a dream of a Linux based FOSS medical desktop program
Option 1. Some specific projects from Gnumed to try to get this operational
Option 2. Work on the Au fork of Gnumed to get that operational instead
Option 3. Work to make Vista usable in Australia (this is the Vista that
belongs to the US Veteran's Administration, not W Gates knock-off the
software name)
We did try to get an application into Google's "Summer" of Coding last winter,
but the notice given was too short to get anywhere. That was for Gnumed.
$5000 isn't much to put up to get somewhere (especially if Peter Costello
contributes 50%)
David Guest was once collating promises of $1000 for something...did we ever
spend those promises?
