Hugh,

John Brewer from HeSA will be visiting me within the next fortnite so that questions like this can be addressed. Word on the street is that HIC/HeSA will not be swayed by the impracticality of having to carry smart cards.
Doctors, it seems, will be forced to adapt.

Hi Andrew,
We will have mostly thin clients running Winconnect Server XP, with an occasional thick client running 98 or XP. If a doctor needs to sign something, will there be a way to do this from a thin client, or does it need to be a PC?

ArgusConnect will indeed be reviving personal, digital siging in Q2 2006. We have just received a batch of smart cards and readers from HIC in order to get moving on this. The use of location keys (a standard feature) for signing has limited utility.

Michael,
You need to talk to Andrew S at ArgusConnect about use of Individual
certificates; I believe they have reincarnated that function in the latest
versions of Argus but that's been since I did my Certified Installer's
course but it should be very doable.
