i was quite able to do so under md2 using gnupg in windows outlook express (oh, the indignity of this admission !)

anyway, that was a long time ago, in the days before thunderbird.......

the main problem was a lack of public keys (something a "web of trust" could have remedied easily, but that's another story) the second major problem was the luddite approach of communication of most specialists, a situation that appears largely unchanged in the intervening 4.5 years

This is why Argus has such an advantage.

no advantage at all for normal communications unless lots of (non gp) people adopt it as a standard
