A couple of points. The issue with liftoff is the size of group wanting to commit to a package. Here in the middle of Sydney there are thousands of specialists and GPs. Where do you start to change the business process.

One specialist doing secure messaging isn't enough. Duncan Guy's group cardiology practice in the west is trying to get messaging going from their end. I've just asked hi to report on progress.

In small centres where the scale of referrals and potential players is small, it's much easier.

Also the government seems reluctant to do anything more than fund a few pilots, focussed mainly on hospital-GP reporting/referrals, not specialsit-GP reporting/referrals.
