The "demand" is a self-defeating argument. There is no demand for another database engine or a different desktop OS, because there is no option for it. You write to BP and ask if it is available and they will say no. Then you decide whether you buy the product with MSSQL and Windows or not. We know a lot of peolpe use linux/mac in other scenarios but are forced to use the base product in their medical surgeries. The cleverest software house would make a bootable cd distro, based on a bootable linux -with-medical-software-integrated, with hardware autodetection and $$$ savings on OS, database, office, antivirus and so on. I, for one, would pay healthily for such a product, and the money would go to the software house raher than the Bill Gates Malaria Fund

It still isn't economical for BP to try conversion of data from the program I am using in order to tempt me to use their product, and it is likely I willl drift to the product that does a really good conversion.

John,

Frank Pyefinch recently posted on the BP forum "...we have more than 6 months worth of work already lined up, including Online claiming, conversions from other programs,....." Have you asked if the program you use is one that Frank is intending to write a conversion utility for?
