I wish they would implement downloads though. I have suggested it to both
the Register and the Lab (Dorevitch).  Wouldn't it be easier if Argus could
work between all laboratories in Australia?  Many GP's nationwide are already
setup with either Argus or something else. It makes sense to use this and
incorporate Bowell Screening results in the same way as every other.

We don't want paper results from places which theoretically should be able
to download - especially as many of these little local labs seem to be owned
by the major corporate players. It is time they unified their systems!

The unfortunate thing about some national screening programs is that in the
past they havent considered download capabilities for results.  

Most pathology companies have a method of download available but usually
to their local area and/or local referrers.  It gets tricky combining downloads
to GPs they dont know.
The lab is often not setup to cope with nationwide downloads for those GPs
who prefer it.

This capacity should be part of what the successful tenderer can offer, I
think.
