Geoff,

Do AHML have any published documentation that software vendors can work to
prior to seeking accreditation? If so, where can we access it?

Hi Andrew;

Geoff we are following documentation produced by HCN here so calling it

I wasn't suggesting HCN was "jury rigging" anything - that was being pointed

mechanisms".

Given my experience I would advise against the use of "undocumented
mechanisms". Rather I would support and encourage working with different
parties to implement sustainable and viable standards. Furthermore I am
encouraging that there is wider acceptance/support by message providers and
Clinical Systems of AHML's role in these endeavours as well as a Code of
Practice that a wide diverse range of parties can be signatories to.

Given an acceptable Code of Practice we would hope that enduser's can then
use it as a way of benchmarking any application with a trusted level of
expectation in the way an application is supposed to work and is supported
over time.
