There is a sporting phrase "Get into the game or get out of the stadium."

Words are cheap and sitting on the bench or being a spectator saying what
the players should be doing won't win a game.

I would advise that some of the learned people on this list should swap jobs
if they want action.

There have been a stack of jobs going at NEHTA over the past couple of
years.

I am sure many of the people here would shake up the corridors of government
departments. Many would have slotted nicely into lead roles with the various
HealthConnect projects that have been going on over the last number of
years.

There have been many suggestions for how business could be run better -
start one yourself or join an existing company and do what you can from the
inside developing products and services.

Basically infiltrate the very organizations you wish to influence.

My 150 odd words worth.

Yes but the problems in NEHTA stem from governance - the composition of the board - which was set up in the beginning without private sector representation. The prospects of NEHTA achieving broader outcomes without a major change in direction from the CEO (in absence of a board restructure) seem low. The CEO could recommend a board restructure if he desired.

Corporate recruiters are good at poaching the right people if such people are desired. If they want anyone here, they know where to find us!

At the end of the day, NEHTA is responsible for its setting and achieving its goals and has enough resources to do so.
