Vic <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #44 from Vic <[email protected]> 2009-10-18 20:26:13 BST --- I understand the reasoning that the 'All episodes' view is the 'normal' one, however the name 'all' is misleading. I think it would be clearer if 'Show deleted episodes' is renamed to 'All episodes' and the current 'All episodes' becomes 'Hide deleted'. If you don't like 'Hide deleted' as a view name then, keeping in mind Maemo 5, perhaps you may want to consider calling this 'Default' or 'Default view'. As for the Downloaded/Unplayed options, I think you consider the user case for who these are aimed at. I like the concept of the unplayed episodes filter - for my case, I listen to the podcasts when driving and need a simple way to select from a list of episodes I havnt listend to. So the unplayed list WOULD be great IF the new (but not downloaded) episodes were also filtered out. The only use I can think of for the Downloaded view is if I want to re-listen to an episode - in which case I still don't want the 'new' episodes. If I am at home and want to download new episodes, I will use 'update selected' then pick the episodes. So if the 'Downloaded' view is to support replaying previously listened episodes, it should also have new episodes filtered out (and then the 'Downloaded' title would make sense. Alternatively, if its supposed to be a screen from which new episodes can be selected, perhaps there should be a new view called say 'Current episodes' which lists downloaded unlistened episodes and new, yet to be downloaded episodes. But if I'm at home getting ready to download, at that point I probably don't care what episodes I havn't listened to. So in summary, I think you should filter out the new episodes in both 'downloaded' and 'unplayed' views.
