it's really not so complex what's going on, but what could be really
interesting - what I'm after - is to 'suggest' different types of
inhabitation eg running, walking, climbing, sitting etc by way of
geometrical operations informed by the underlying surface curvature. A
steep area might get enclosed by a railing, in fact there might be
railings at several different threshold lines which would indicate
different possible routes. Other than that, maybe if the curvature is
almost non-existent the stairs would be'excluded' and open, smooth
ramp type space would be made available.

But one thing at a time, I suppose. Right now I'm fixated on
translating the equivalent shifts in colour from the analysis into
geometry - curves on a surface.
