Let me share with this forum my point of view about *questioning/* * criticism*, with which I do feel quite at home. 1.It's always right to raise questions if you actually want to and terribly feel the need. 2. Any kind of the prevailing regime of consensus/majority view need not necessarily deter one from raising question or questions, so long as one is assured of listening in a forum like this, devised precisely for exchange of ideas. 3. Even when I'm personally blamed on account of the views expressed I get not offended in the least in so far as I continue to hold that particular position. On the contrary, on finding my questions/ criticisms ignored I invariably become sad and discouraged to go further. 4.In any political discussion, it is not that bad (as at least many of us myself including, would sometimes feel) to influence others, or to be influenced by others as well. 5.THANKS TO THE DEVASTATING CRITIQUE OF HINDUISM BY DR.AMBEDKAR, dalit thinkers have already been successful in ending legitimacy/sabotaging of not only the brahmanical ideas of power, and previlege ,but even the core assumptions of Hindu epistemology which is largely based on caste; ie; privilege or disprivilege in birth. Similarly, the Black and Feminist thinkers and movements of all continents have collectively succeeded in sabotaging the white/ male-supremacist world of ideas. Their continuation in real life situations, however, may be attributed to naked forms of coercion and aggression by the powers that be on the one hand, and internalization in varying degrees of the very same structures by the involved subjects, on the other. 6.It is precisely for this reason that I would rather question than be a silent subject of these structures.
