Hello ,

Anti reservation remarks are not aimed at dalits but to oppose any move to
compartmentalize the education system based on caste and religion .
it is a truth that the real beneficiaries of reservation policy are not
dalits . If the reservation is not aimed at vote banks , why the government is
ignoring Adivasis and other tribal groups? what is the use of providing
reservation to dalits when they lack basic amenities like food and shelter ?
This is the main reason why dalits drop out from college while other caste
hindus fill the reservation quota .
i do not think that democracy in this country functions for the upper caste
hindus . But it stands for religions to flourish . We believe in a socialist
state where the absolute control over the educational institutions lies with
the state only .

Dear sreenivas,
It is high time to talk of non-citizens. Citizen, as you call has been
mostly upper caste male. If you check the higher education institutes
and managerial jobes, you will understand it. So reservation is a
strategy aimed at citizenship politics for the erstwhile non citizens.

The hard working individuals, manual labourers agricultural and non
agricultural are mostly from backward castes and dalits. They have
been working hard for centuries to build civilisation and nation and
their work is never paid properly.

We should throw away the democratic system

'our'? does it mean casteist education system? Is that what you want
to protect by throwing away the democratic system?

You are right, dalit- obc politics is questioning the very idea of
merit and education and it is democratising these spaces.
