http://growl.info/documentation/growl-package-removal.phpGrowlMail is installed to either /Library/Mail/Bundles/ GrowlMail.mailbundle or ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/GrowlMail.mailbundle. If you can't find it, try typing "locate GrowlMail.mailbundle" in Terminal.
GrowlTunes and HardwareGrowler are normal apps, so they'll be where the person who installed them decided to put them. The most likely location is in /Applications. They're also unrelated to the problem, but removing them is up to you.

Can you give me simple step-by-step instructions on how to remove Growl and GrowlMail and all other Growl components (GrowliTunes, HardwareGrowler, etc) completely? I didn't find anything in the Mail/ Bundles folder, but still have the same problem. I think. Well, I restored my whole system and am using Safari 3.2.1 right now, but I'd like to be able to use Safari 4 and not have to worry about this problem again. Thank you very much in advance. Moving the bundle from ~user/Library/Mail/Bundles/GrowlMail.mailbundle into~user/Library/Mail/Bundles (Disabled)/GrowlMail.mailbundle solved theissue for me. Possible to post a link to the discussions you mentionfor someone like me who is new here and has non idea about developmentthread? Thanks H
