There's really no need to do that. Switching GrowlMail to summary mode
will do the job:

If you really want to remove GrowlMail, then you need to check both
Mail/Bundles folders, as Quinn said.

The problem others are having is that Mail crashes when it receives
new mail (often shortly after launch)—specifically, when GrowlMail
tries to post the notification about it.
Growl itself has nothing to do with this problem; you could even
remove Growl entirely, following the instructions on the page Quinn
linked you to, and the problem will persist as long as GrowlMail
remains installed. Conversely, removing GrowlMail will solve the
problem even if you leave Growl in place.
