I would have thought that if it was long in the tooth it should be
modified *sooner*.

Incidentally, I see that the checkbox we were discussing ("Leave
notifications on screen after n seconds...") is linked to the "Sticky
Notifications" option in the menu. If one is ticked, the other is
automatically ticked, too. This *is* confusing. It seem that you, when
replying earlier, appeared not to know that the checkbox in the
Preferences and the check in the menu are linked, and control the same
option.

Sorry if I appear to be carping and nit-picking, by the way. Growl is
a great program, and it's only because it's so useful that I think
it's worth getting exactly right.
