Ditto. I've found that stopping and starting Growl again does not restore functionality. However, choosing "Restart Growl" from the menu extra *does*give me my notifications back -- for a while. And, like Jorge, nothing in the console logs. My General options are identical to Jorge's, except that "Show Growl icon in the menu bar" is selected.
