Well, I have read extensively on the oil issues regarding extended drain
intervals, and have had my oil analyzed. Based on the readings, I am going
to stick with 3k mile intervals. Since the oil costs only about $15-18 for
3k miles, seems like cheap insurance.

Henry,
Have you had your oil tested? How many miles is 6
mos.? I use 20w50 racing and was disappointed when
MCN lost their samples of Amsoil in their test so I
tested my own. I'm losing some viscosity @ 5,000
miles and my additives are showing some reduction from
heat. I'm going to switch to Series 2000 for an
interval and test that. I live down in the heat of
the south and that may make a difference but I
wouldn't go past 6,000 on the racing (regular) stuff.
I'll keep the list informed on my experience with the
better stuff (Series 2000).
