Check the service manual, I believe to get a proper flush you have to remove
some drain bolts from the engine head, but it has been a while since I have
done it. I did use the extended drain coolant, but I have heard mixed
reviews. My buddy (a Chevy mechanic) indicated that if the engine was
"seasoned" with regular coolant, then the extened drain coolant would not
help much. He did say it would not hurt anything.
