Yes, the 120 tire instead of 130 tire helps this a LOT.

Just finished my first scan with my new Nikon LS-4000 scanner (35mm film
scanner).  It extracts a 132meg TIFF file from a 35mm negative.  On my
first try I'm amazed notsomuch at the resolution, but the lack of noise
in the shadows, compared to my HP Photosmart scanner.
