I find that a lot of it has to do with the lack of steering lock.  Ducatis
are notorious for this too, and a LOT of them get dropped in driveways.
The steering is heavy at low speeds, compounding the problem, and the
weight we have is carried fairly high in the bike (my BMW airhead shared
this characteristic).  All of this together makes for a challenge in
parking lots, and a bike that really is for larger and stronger people.

Not sure wider bars would help all that much.

But in its intended use......GTS is a wonderful machine.

As for Ducatis.......mine may be for sale, those of you on the list with
SV650S's may be happy to hear.  We'll see.
