After installing an alarm (Softline CB-2001 a German product), we
experienced some serious problems with the ignition system. The CB-2001 is a
very advanced alarm with amongst other functions immobilzer, pager and
remote start/stop.
The engine is misfiring, leaving the bike impossible to ride (no power left
to move the bike).
After totally deinstalling the alarm, the engine condition is not restored,
i.e. still misfiring. Could something have happend with the EFI system or
other vital electrical components during the installation? The EFI condition
control lamp is working as normal, no indication of malfunction.
Has anybody experienced a similar problem?
