I'm the same height. I like the stock setup also. I also have some
'padding' around the middle and it tends to rest on the tank most of the
time. That's not a bad thing, just a thing. I'm guessing here, but it
would seem that the heli's might enable a more 'begging dog' type of
position, which around town or for stretching purposes, would be nice.
However, the trade-off would be a little less 'crouched' when zinging
thru the curves.

I guess it would depend on your riding style. Or perhaps more precisely,
the way you ride most of the time. I think we all vary the way we ride,
but some of the group are more 'long-distance' and some of us are
'hoppers'. I mostly 'hop' during the year with the 'occasional' long
distance, 3-4 times a year. Since the bars aren't adjustable, (now
THERE's an idea!), I prefer them low for most of my jaunts.

Same reason for the low windshield. For me. And that's just IMHO. :^)
