I was talking to a mechanic that I know tonight and he said that he puts
small amounts of diesel fuel in regular fuel vehicles occasionally to clean
out the fuel system.  He though that adding diesel oil to my bike for a
short time was a good idea.  And I don't ride my bike anywhere near redline
so I don't see that it could hurt.  Sure seems like an easy thing to try,
and who knows, it might even work.
