I�ve to say that my information about this change agrees with Rev. Baroon�s. At least the comments and opinions in the Spanish Car Components Aftermarket, in witch I�m involved, doesn�t recommend it in cars. I�ve no info about motos.(moto:motorbike)
No BMW or Mercedes official dealer would install this system in cars with conventional bulbs. (I�m talking about installing original BMW�s equipment in a BMW). It may be just due to their marketing plans or something technical like maintaining some components warranty like alternators, batteries and other electronic equipment. Some well known companies as Hella has attempted to launch this kind of kits with no success at the moment, and now they�re trying to repositioning this product as auxiliary lighting. There�s another way to increase lighting. The �Silverstar� bulb series by Osram and �Visionplus� by Philips increases the lighting range in about 20 meters (20-25%). And it works. (This is not Xenon lights, but is much better than conventional. Anyway I�ve been told by people from this companies that bulbs� life is a bit shorter.) Anyway there�s nothing like testing something to know if it works. If other GTSers tried it and had no problems... Regards.
